So I’ve flown a ton of Cat III approaches to minimums…. well at last in the simulator. ;) Nonetheless this is a truly amazing video showing from the pilot’s perspective what it is like to fly to a runway in really, really poor visibility conditions.

CAT III to minimums? Not really, given an ALSF-2 lighting system is 2400-3000 ft long and the aircraft broke out prior to that, this more like a normal ILS approach…to a normal 200′ HAT landing. Good video however to demonstrate how the weather looks near minimums….
