CBS walking gently into social media

One of my favourite shows this summer is Swingtown. The finale was tonight, and at the end, CBS advertised something I’d never seen before. I don’t know how long this has been happening, but it’s certainly the first time I noticed it.

CBS is offering each episodes’ soundtrack on last.fm. I think this is amazingly cool and a great way to engage the show’s fans. Have you seen any other networks delving into social media like this?

I’m sorry this is off subject sort of, but what happened to the two shows Big Shots & Cashmere Mafia on CBS, or was that ABC? I fricken loved them both yet they went away back in Feb.

But yes, this is very worth while to get viewers involved in the culture of show with social media besides just watching from afar.
