CES 2008: A Closing Letter

Oh, CES. How we loved this year, with your gargantuan 150-inch plasma, your flashing lights, and your promoting of the shrinking HD-DVD field. You were mentioned on nearly every website, blog, TV station, radio station, and even our grandmas mentioned it. How glad we were last year when we learned that you and MacWorld wouldn’t coincide this year, but were then ticked off when we learned that next year is not the same case. The amount of people that attended and covered it were enormous, and you were easily over-covered. Might we ask that only press people and a select number of public be able to attend? That way we don’t have so many people blocking our view when watching the shiniest TV? Well, even if you don’t take our suggestions, we still look forward to coming back and visiting next year. In the mean time, we have MacWorld this week and CEDIA later on in the year. That should keep us occupied. For a while.
