UCLA freshman Chace Stanback, a former California State Player of the Year from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, feels he’s not wanted on the UCLA basketball team.
Stanback, a 6-8, 210 pound guard/forward is transferring to UNLV, according to the Los Angeles Daily News telling beat writer Brian Dohn, “All I wanted was to be wanted. That’s all I wanted.”
Stanback did play in 25 games for the Bruins last season, but only averaged one point and 0.7 rebounds. He indicated that he was unhappy playing for the Bruins.
Stanback will have to sit out this season, but will have all three years of eligibility remaining.
A former state player of the year on one of the top high school basketball teams in the nation is unhappy about playing on his college team?
I hope that Stanback finds peace and tranquility at UNLV and is at a place where he is truly wanted.
