Chad Vader as Darth Vader

\r\n\r\nSome people think of YouTube stardom as a gateway to movie stardom. When games are bigger than movies, however, the former might be a more worthy goal than the latter. Matt Sloan, who voices Darth Vader\’s less talented younger brother in the hit YouTube parody series Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager, was announced earlier this year as the voice the Dark Lord himself in the upcoming game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.\r\n\r\nThe Star Wars franchise has a long and glorious history of embracing fanfilms. Last year, their clip mashup service extended that embrace inside online video. Hiring Chad Vader continues that cluefulness. It also makes sense within the Star Wars canon, as this Vader is younger than James Earl Jones\’.\r\n\r\nSloan\’s Vader appears in the latest trailer for the game, and I am pleased to report that he sounds totally badass. The Force is strong with this YouTube star.
