Olympics Day 13 - Diving

China’s Chen Ruolin, just 15-years-old, gave her country its seventh diving Gold Medal of the Olympic Games…but it was close. Canada’s Emilie Heymans led the 10m platform competition going into the final of five dives. However, Chen earned four perfect 10s for her final dive, pushing her ahead of the Canadian. Chen’s countryman, Wang Xin won the Bronze Medal.

American diver, Laura Wilkinson, the 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist, finished ninth before retiring from diving.

Hooray for Emilie who grew up in the same small town and learned to swim at the same pool as me!

    Go Canada!
