Chinese Women Sweep Table Tennis Singles

China’s Zhang Yining won the singles table tennis title on Friday at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. She entered the competition ranked at #1 in the world so she was heavily favored to win.
Her fellow countrywomen, Wang Nan and Guo Yue, won the silver and bronze, respectively, which resulted in a Chinese sweep in the event for the second time in 20 years.
