Choosing a Brand Name

Choosing a brand name can be a lot of fun, but it’s critical to review your brand name from every angle and in every situation you can think of before rolling it out.  A perfect example of the need for researching your brand name thoroughly has been circulating around the internet lately.  The example is for a children’s consignment chain called Kids Exchange.  At first glance, this name doesn’t seem bad at all.  Even their URL, www.KidsExchange.net, looks good.  But don’t put this on the good list just yet.  Take a look at this picture from the exterior of one of their stores.

Suddenly, the brand name takes on a whole new meaning.  Again, when you’re creating your brand name, scrutinize it thoroughly.  Don’t make this kind of mistake or you could end up plastered all over the internet - and not in a good way.
