The Toronto Raptors and Chris Bosh are entering a pivotal season. Unfortunately for Bosh, his season isn’t off to the greatest of starts. The Raptors announced late in the week that Bosh will be forced to miss the beginning of training camp due to an injury to his left hamstring.
Originally, Bosh injured his hamstring while working out in his home state of Texas. When he got to Toronto, the pain came back. The Raptors have diagnosed him with a strained hamstring.
Bosh can expect to be under the microscope this season due to his unrestricted free agent status next summer. Outside of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Bosh will be the biggest star available in the summer of 2010.
As for the Raptors, the team can’t afford to have a bad 2009-2010 NBA season because that will raise the chances of Bosh leaving after the campaign. To help return to the playoffs, the Raptors made many moves during the offseason including signing sought-after free agent Hedo Turkoglu.
