Christmas Shopping for the Slacker

Christmas lawn elves always get me in the mood for holiday shopping.

Are you a slacker like me and still haven’t gotten your holiday shopping done? Well… fortunately for you I’ve put together a list of presents you can buy your favorite adventurer. The bonus to my holiday list is that many of these things can be purchased on the innernets… that means no waiting in lines and no potential to get shot by one of your co-shoppers (unless they’re being really ambitious, hunt you down from the internet, find your house and then come to your house and shoot you. If that’s the case, make sure you have a gun by you at all times during your online holiday shopping. Once they break into your house, you can shoot them first for breaking and entering!!!).

Top 10 gifts for the adventure gamer

1. Buy your loved one a Nintendo DS. Why? Because they’re fun and there are lots of adventure games out and coming out for the beloved DS.

2. Speaking of the DS, get the game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. This game has been winning awards left and right for its brilliance. Plus it is an adventure game. Bonus.

3. Speaking of Nintendo, get a Wii. I know, you find this funny, right? But seriously, if you can get your hands on a Wii, make sure to buy it. This system is bound to have some awesome games with some really cool things that will probably be done with the WiiMote, such as sticking it in your ear when you can’t figure out a particularly difficult adventure like puzzle.

4. You know what would be really cool? If you’re a member (haha) of the United States or Canada, you can give the gift that keeps on giving and buy a year pass to GameTap. I mean, seriously. You can play all sorts of games and crap.

5. While you’re on the internet, buying gifts for everyone, get your favorite adventure fan the entire season of Sam and Max from TellTale Games. Once all of the episodes are out for the season, that special person will also receive a dvd with all the Sam and Max episodes on it.

6. A rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle. You have no idea how many times my rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle has come into handy.

7. Get the two Psychonaut soundtracks. These soundtracks are filled with music that you can hear. Heh. I’m a dork.

8. While you’re wandering around your favorite gaming store (are you crazy?), be sure to pick up Secret Files: Tunguska. It’s suppose to be an interesting game and there are naked chicks in it. Hah, okay, I’m lying.

9. Want your favorite adventurer to look like a complete dork? You can, by buying them shirts for online stores such as TellTale Games, DoubleFine Games, Jinx and Think Geek.

10. Give them all your money. I bet they would enjoy that.
