Clay Buchholz’s Father and the Hotness Hierarchy

The biggest blogosphere buzz on the Boston Red Sox the last few days, fortunately, has to do with the personal life of one of the team’s up-and-coming pitchers. (Thanks to devoted reader Caesar for sending this our way!)
You may have heard by now that Clay Buchholz, he of the—pardon the pun—virgin shutout in September 2007, is seeing 2008 Penthouse Pet of the Year, Erica Ellyson.
His father, quite likely doing that whole living life through his son thing right about now, had this to say:
“I know he’s met her, gone out with her, but I don’t know if you consider that dating . . . but hey, a boy could do worse. It doesn’t surprise me any.”
Speaking of surprises, what amuses (and repulses) us is this insight into the elder Buchholz’s chick hierarchy:
“Last year up in Boston he was dating a Victoria’s Secret model, so he’s moving up the ladder . . . . I mean, he’s got pretty good taste.”
WTF? A Penthouse camera slut gal ranks higher on the “You’ve made it!” scale than a Victoria’s Secret model? ”Penthouse” and “classy” rarely appear in the same sentence, unless there’s a “definitely NOT” in there somewhere.
Here’s wishing Clay and his new honey hours of intense, passionate . . . conversation.

I wish everyone would stop trying to beef up this rumor already. He wasn’t even making any $ last year, why would a VS model be interested in a Triple-A ballplayer? And notice that no one even names this supposed VS model!
To keep things updated for the nosey at heart on this subject, he’s not seeing a Penthouse Pet or VS model. He’s been seeing Nolan Ryan’s god daughter Janel who lives outside of Boston. I know this how? I work at Fenway Park :)
But . . . but . . . we were just sayin’ what Clay’s Dad said!

No way am I royalty! I’m at the bottom of the bucket! :( Talk to my friend Laura, shes only about 5 feet tall and gets to eject idiotic drunks acting like asses from the game! THAT is royalty! :)
Well his father would be happy to know his son is being influenced by a classy girl not some chick willing to bare all for the world to see whilst looking rode hard and put away wet. I do know where she sits when she goes to the games, and since shes not the typical bleach blonde girl I can spot her easily. lol :)
If you watch/attend the games you can see him looking over in her section all the time (at Fenway), its cute and you simply cannot miss it if you watch him. She sits over near the visitors side/3rd baseline a few rows back behind where the press area is. There are photos of him looking over in that direction while clearly everyone else is looking at home plate!
I like when stuff like this goes on. It makes going into work worthwhile lol oh yeah aside from seeing games!
