Clean Sweep

I know a lot of attention is being paid to Usain Bolt at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Excuse the pun, but that dude is likie a “bolt” of lighting out there on the track. He set a world record by barely even breaking a sweat. Hey, I’d celebrate too if I outran my competition with such ease.

In other track & field news, another win that should be getting more attention has flown under the radar. Three U.S. athletes finished 1, 2 and 3 in the Men’s 400 hurdles.

Angelo Taylor
clean-sweep-team_nc.jpgled the pack with Kerron Clement finishing second and Bershawn “Batman” Jackson finishing third. It’s the first clean sweep of this event since the U.S. did it back in 1960.

They may not have broke any world records in the race, but they accomplished something that hasn’t been done in 48 years. And that’s a feat in itself.

Congrats guys!
