CNN’s 100 Best Places to Live and Launch

You read the best states – now let’s get a bit more specific.  Where, exactly, is the best place to live and launch your businessCNN thinks they know.

The best place to start your business is Bellevue, Washington.  Aside from it being in the most depressing state, it does have some good points.  It is not too small and not too large of a city.  Here’s what CNN had to say about the financial part:

While local businesses must pay the statewide Business and Occupations tax on their gross receipts, there’s no corporate income tax. Businesses with less than $135,000 in taxable revenues (the highest threshold in the area) don’t have to pay the B&O tax. Easy airport access and a highly skilled workforce make Bellevue an attractive option for startups looking to break big.

Hooray for Bellevue!

On another note, Colchester, Vermont got the honor of being #100.  Go Colchester!
