With Football season right around the corner, we here at Dejuiced! have decided to take a look at the coaches in the NFL and college football to see how well the fans approve of them. Let’s start things off with Marvin Lewis.
Marvin Lewis is the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. He was hired after the release of Dick LeBeau in 2003 and showed up wearing the Super Bowl ring he won as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. He is 42-38 as head coach of the Bengals and helped them in 2005 to a 11-5 record, their first winning season and playoff appearance in 15 years. But things have been disappointing since.
Instead of taking steps forward, steps backwards have been made. The Bengals have finished the last two seasons with records of 8-8 and 7-9. And many off the field problems, the 10 arrests in 14 months, have not helped. And we can’t forget the issues with Chad Johnson or the releases of Chris Henry and Odell Thurman being big news this year.
The man did go to Cincinnati and change help turn things around for them for at least a little while. There is a chance that he can do it again. Do you think he can? If he doesn’t at the end of the season, should he still be there?
