Coffee Break – 3 Free ebooks and More!!!

I thought I’d change the focus in this week’s Coffee Break from articles to ebooks. Since I’ve been writing recently about turning old blog posts into ebooks, I thought it might be nice to take a look at a few:
The 2nd Edition Encyclopedia of Free Online Advertising, 2007, by Luke W Parker. At 79 pages, this book is quite long for a free book – and it is chock full of information written in an easy to read A-Z format. (hint: putting your information in a sequenced format (A-Z or 1-10) makes it easier for you to write and easier for your readers to absorb.)
This book, Conversations with Millionaires by Mike Litman and Jason Oman is another long one – 250 pages – but as you will see it is a compilation of radio transcripts – a case of total (savvy!) re-use of existing materials!
I’m including this third ebook, An Honest Look at the e-book Business, by Jonni Good, as an example of the length and style of the typical free ebook that you could make from your blog – it’s 14 pages, contains specific how-to information on a popular topic and is written in a conversational tone, similar to blog posts. It could even have come from existing posts.
I hope you find these books helpful, for their content, and as examples of ways you could turn your blog into an ebook.
Laura and I would like to help you buy some books as well. That’s why we’re currently offering a contest to win gift cards from Amazon.com!! Hurry over to enter the businessandblogging contest!!

Goo suggestions. To add one to the list, John Assaraf, who wrote the New York Times bestseller “The Answer” is giving away 2 free chapters from his book for download to all. Its like 40 pages of phenominal tips to growing a business. Get them at this site…

Hi Ryan
Thanks for the info!
Giving away an enticing chapter or two of a book is a great way to build desire for a book you want to sell – kind of like browsing in a bookstore!
