Brian Clark at Copyblogger asks the question What is a Blog? And while you may think this is a pretty straightforward question, Brian had 93 comments at last count – making me realize that perhaps Blogging is not so simple afterall……
One thing I’m pretty sure a good blog is, is a way to develop a closer relationship with your customer. Therefore, most business bloggers will find Your Success Depends on Relating to Your Market at SmallFuel to be a worthwhile read.
This past week we’ve been talking about the fact that businesses can’t avoid being impacted by blogs, since bloggers will write about their company.
An excellent example is the article I Heart Zappos written by a blogger who had received truly exceptional service by Zappos online shoe company.
So far:
- she has received 192 comments
- her post is number 3 on google when searching for Zappos
- she had to increase her bandwidth to handle the traffic!
It just goes to show that the often overlooked customer service rep may be the most important marketing person in your company….
