Colbert Gives Politicans a Bump

According to new research that appeared in the July issue of PS: Political Science and Politics, Democratic politicians receive a bump in contributions after appearing on The Colbert Report.

James H. Fowler, of the University of California, San Diego, conducted the research which shows that Democrats get 40 percent more donations in the 30 days after they exchange witty banter with Stephen Colbert. Republicans, in contrast, get no bump in their contributions.
