College Recruiting – It’s a Tough Job

We really don’t give recruiters enough credit. I mean, I find it difficult to follow all of the teams in the bowl series; I couldn’t imagine following all of high school players. I mean, aside from local channels, these players probably aren’t on television. It’s a lot of legwork. You have to travel and you have to keep your eye on what other people are saying. On top of that, you not only want the players that people are talking about…you want the players that will work well for your team.
And then there is the dark side. Bribes. Calls and emails at all times of the night from not just coaches, but from fans and current students. The pressure. The scholarship game.
