The Colorado Rockies took a ten-game winning streak into their Sunday showdown against the Seattle Mariners. After the Mariners got out to a 1-0 lead, the Rockies battled back and cruised to their 11th straight win.
The 11-game winning streak ties a franchise record, which was originally set during their 2007 run to the World Series. After spending most of the last few months near the bottom of the National League, the Rockies are now 31-32.
At the plate, Todd Helton went 3-for-4 with a run, an RBI and a walk. Garrett Atkins was also 3-for-4. The big hit of the game was when Chris Iannetta hit a double with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to clear the bases.
The Mariners began strong when Jose Lopez scored Ichiro from third base on a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning. However, after that point, it was all down hill. The Mariners are now 30-33.

GO Rockies!!! The sad part is that after winning 11 straight they are still a game under .500. It will be interesting to see if they can stay competitive the rest of the year
