Anthony Gonzalez, the Indianapolis Colts wide receiver who will replace Marvin Harrison this year, injured his leg during a Sunday practice. The good news for the Colts is that the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. In fact, Gonzalez will likely be back on the practice field by the middle of the week.

Entering his third NFL season, Gonzalez has huge shoes to fill. Harrison isn’t only the best wide receiver in the history of the Colts, he’s one of the best receivers in the history of the NFL. At 24, Gonzalez will have all eyes on him during his 2009 campaign.

Last year, the wideout out of Ohio State had 664 yards on 57 matches. He had four touchdowns and a long reception of 58 yards.

Although he doesn’t have blazing speeding, Gonzalez is good hands, runs good routes and is tough once he catches the ball. With team sure to load up on Reggie Wayne this year, there’s no doubt that Peyton Manning will rely on Gonzalez carrying his weight.
