Do you have multiple RSS feeds that you share on a regular basis with your social media network? Have you been looking for a solution to combine all of your RSS feeds into one feed so that you can share one URL? Then I want to share with you the results of my search for a solution to the problem of combining multiple RSS feeds into one.
Just in case you don’t know what an RSS feed it, let me share a little bit. RSS has many definition but the simplest is “Really Simple Syndication”. Basically, an RSS feed allow a website visitors to use special software called an RSS reader to pull content updates from a dynamic or constantly updated website. This means that you don’t have to continuously visit a website to see if there are updates.
With that said, when I started my research, I had specific criteria that needed to be met by each one of the combination RSS feed software. Below is the simple list:
- Account: able to save all of my combined feeds in one account online.
- Web-based software: I wanted to be able to access my account from anywhere.
- Unlimited: allowed to created as many combined RSS feeds that I wanted too.
- Cost: preference is a free resource or a low-cost solution.
- Ease of use: need to be able to use right away without installation of software.
So I started my search for the ideal “multiple RSS feed” combining software. One of my resources was an article entitled, “10 Tools to Combine, Mix, Blend Multiple RSS Feeds” found on ToThePC.com. In this article, it list the following as possible solutions to combining RSS feeds….
- RSS Mixer (in Alpha at the time of the writing of this blog post)
- FeedBlendr (is no longer online at the writing of this blog post)
- FeedTwister (my choice because it met all of my criteria plus it has a directory of feeds & is bilingual)
- BlogSieve (didn’t meet the user account criteria)
- RSSMesh (didn’t meet the ease of use)
- RSS Mix (didn’t meet the user account criteria)
- BlastFeed (is no longer online at the writing of this blog post)
- Feed Combine (didn’t meet the user account criteria)
- FrankenFeed (couldn’t access to test or see if it was available still)
- Yahoo Pipes (meets all of the criteria but not my preferred choice)
For more details about each of these, please visit the article mentioned above. After testing out these options for a solution, FeedTwister met all of my criteria and is my preferred choice. Do you have a favorite combination RSS feed software resource that you would like to share? Please feel free to do so by leaving a comment.

But, will it take the first item in feed A, then the first item in feed B and create a feed that goes A B A B and truly blend the feeds? Or will it simply slap one entire feed after the other?
