Commercial Break… Thursday??!??!?!??!!!!??
Yes! For in a vital addendum to this Monday’s Solar Fox rant, regular reader ’simon a-r’ turned me on to… Solar Fox: The Movie!
It’s as though they filmed the print advert directly onto the screen! It’s all there – brooding eighties man, perky eighties gal, even a dirty-old-man chuckle from the announcer as he talks about the heh heh excitement you can have playing Solar Fox.
What’s wierdest is the ultra-modern CGI graphics that they use to gussy up the advert, which have the effect of making this eighties game look like a… nineties game. Early nineties at that. Oh well, at least we get an overly cute girl in monstrously eighties clobber, which I’m sure is a fetish for someone.
In other watching-the-film-of-the-game news, I saw the first Pirates Of The Caribbean film today, which was a lot of fun but lacked something i.e. Guybrush Threepwood. Also, the bad guys want to put some of Orlando Bloom’s blood on some jewels to make them killable again. Orlando Bloom swordfights them a lot to prevent this. That’s like fighting Superman in order to keep a lead box full of kryptonite firmly closed.
