Do the Yankees hold a grudge? They might, according to novelist Jane Heller. She wrote the book Confessions of a She-Fan which talks about how her and her hubby watched the ” transformation of the 2007 squad from the doldrums to a wild-card playoff berth.”
In other words, she fell out of love with her team, got mad at it for a while, and then fell back in love with it. Fair weather fan, perhaps? The Yankees seemed to think so. When she wanted to run an for the book in the Yankees Opening Day program, they declined. Why, you ask? Because it was “too controversial.”
