Configure Encryption Method for BitLocker

BitLocker technology is one of the latest and newest technology Microsoft has introduced starting Windows Vista. The BitLocker is found in Windows Vista Ultimate and used for data protection of  computers whenever it is stolen or lost.

You can configure your BitLocker algorithm and key size. Below are the steps to achieve this:

1. Click on the Run button of Windows Vista

2. Type the “gpedit.msc” in the text box

3. Go to Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / BitLocker Drive Encryption

4. On the right pane, double-click on the “Configure Encryption Method” and choose on “Enabled”. From here, choose the encryption method you wish to use (see image below):
