Congresswoman Bachmann Calls ‘Hardball’ Appearance ‘A Mistake’
Says Uncut Video Footage Makes It Harder To Put Ridiculous Spin On What She Said
First-term evangelical Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann said today she regrets going on Hardball with Chris Matthews because the feisty political talk show host asked her tough questions and her appearance was seen by millions of people, many of whom had not been exposed to her particular brand of bat-shit craziness up to that point.
“It’s awful hard to deny saying you said something when you’re on videotape repeating it over and over again,” Bachmann complained. “It’s also difficult to defend wildly screwball views when people are actually allowed to question you about your thinking. Sheesh! Who knew?”
All three of Bachmann’s defenders suggested she may have tried to come back too early from the injury suffered earlier this year on Larry King.
“Clearly, she’s not herself,” said one supporter, “Michelle’s ability to quote predetermined, canned bromides in response to any question asked is legendary. The fact that she wasn’t able to ‘out-stubborn’ Chris Matthews just shows you how she’s hurting.”
The Hardball appearance was particularly damaging, coming at a time when Bachmann is up for re-election and people are actually paying attention to some of the lunatic positions she is espousing.
Regardless of the outcome of the Congressional race, the Republican National Committee has assured Bachmann that she will continue to have a future with the party as the new voice of fringe robo-calls.

“I never said Barack Obama was anti-American, I just said he holds anti-American views, hangs around with anti-American people, wants to enact anti-American policies, wears anti-American suits and has an anti-American name. And, oh yeah, we should investigate anyone who agrees with him….”
