Connecticut Sun forward Nykesha Sales to miss season
Nykesha Sales, one of the iron women if you will, of the WNBA, announced this week that she will sit out the upcoming WNBA season. Sales, a 31-year-old forward, cites various injuries are forcing her withdrawal from the season, but does vow to return to the Connecticut Sun next season.
Now I’m not saying she should hang her sneakers up, but it makes you personally ponder at what point you’d give up your career for your health, especially if your career were playing a game. What do you think?
I think it might also be another political / money issue, there sure is a lot of that effecting not only athletics but everybody else these days.
