Connecting to Citizen Marketers

If you want to know how to connect with the people formally known as the audience, citizen marketers or whatever you call them, there are resources out there. Recently I’ve attended webex sessions from both Forrester and Cymfony about how to do this. On Tuesday, Cymfony had Jackie Huba present the basics on citizen marketing. I’d recommend reading the book or if you want to start off with an introduction, the slides and the podcast are available on Cymfony.

If you want to see one way in which customers are marketing your products, take a look at ExpoTV, a site dedicated to video reviews of products. Is yours there? They have over 100k in review videos, all put up there by passionate brand users who talk about products from shampoo to baby swings. I wonder if the Rolling Rock beer agency looking at social media has seen this review.
