How far can you push the 2.0 thing? Well, pretty far given this conference called Consumer 2.0, which is focused on how advertisers and the media need to incorporate social media into their marketing plans. “At this conference, industry executives will share how media, telecom, advertisers and retailers are successfully shifting their relationship with consumers from push to pull, from advertising to collaboration, and from top-down to bottom-up.” If you want to attend the two-day conference, the early-bird special is $1,299. After that, it’s $1,499.
Update: Social media consultant Maggie Fox will be speaking. Here’s her post on the event.

Hey – thanks for the link, should be a great event. We’re finding that there’s tons of curiosity about the whole “web 2.0″ thing in the marketplace, and these conferences are a great way of helping people understand exactly what’s going on out there!
