How do you bring in more traffic to your site? If your site is too plain and too serious, you may not find readers visiting your site that often. Or they may not even be coming back.

So how do you let traffic enter your site? What do you do?

One of the best and proven ways to bring in traffic (and possibly even link backs) to your site would be by sponsoring a contest. You can start a mini-contest on your site. I have encountered various types of contests with blogs and I think that it is one of the easiest ways to get link backs.

Some contests would ask you to just leave a comment on their blog post. Some would ask you to write a blog post about something and then ask you to link back to their site. Just think of which technique would best work for you. If you have a really good prize to give away, the possibilities of having quite a number of interested folks are huge.
