cool free software: MaxMem, RoboForm2Go, U3 uninstall

Thumbs up! Firefox 2.0
Although lots of reviewers are slamming Firefox 2.0 [Slashdot via Daily Rotation], I find it a pleasure to use. Of course, I customized the theme with the gorgeous Noia 2.0 (eXtreme), added in most of my beloved extensions (and made a few compatible with the wonderful Mr. Tech, local install extension).
RoboForm2Go
This little app installs on your USB flash drive, so you can take your passwords with you everywhere, to any computer you use. RoboForm2Go works well with Firefox 2.0 (Windows) and Internet Explorer. The new version comes with a manual, support forum, and an add-in toolbar for your browser; you can disable/enable the toolbar with a click.
The free version allows you to keep 10 passports (logins for 10 sites). The entire application is encrypted and you choose a master password for it: if you lose your usb flash drive, your data is protected. Not only that, RoboForm2Go does not require administrator privileges, so I can conveniently run it with my modified Firefox with no administrator rights. The Pro version is only $29: worth it, in my opinion.
Fill up on cool software reviewed by Shell Extension City: today’s gems include MaxMem (an AnalogX memory manager) and Media Player Classic, both fine tools I use often.
I purchased a U3 San Cruzar 1 Gig flash drive (with rebates, it’s really cheap: I hope we get the rebates): Technology Expert’s review of the 2 Gig drive raves about the launchpad included with the SanDisk Cruzar. I hate hardware which installs software behind my back! and that’s what these little flash drives do! So I uninstalled the U3 launchpad with the Cruzar’s own uninstall FIRST, before I installed Roboform2Go. You may wish to keep the U3 software; I didn’t keep it because it launched every time I plugged the USB drive into my computer.
ugh.
