Cool Tools: SlimTimer

While everyone knows just how valuable time management is, some are still reluctant to take note of just how much time they use on a certain job because of manual labor. No one likes to do time sheets manually. If you want to time just how much time you spend on an activity or task and would like to do it automatically, then you might want to try SlimTimer.
SlimTimer allows you to create tasks, time your work, and even run reports on how much time you spend on each task. This free tool is also easy to sign up for.
Adding a task is a point-and-click affair is easy, but timing yourself is far from automatic. Once you are done with a task, you need to click on your entry to stop the timer and record the total time spent on the activity. (Unlike RescueTime where your activity is automatically logged.)
SlimTimer also has sharing capabilities, which will allow you to show reports to other users. You can also export the different reports to CSV via Excel. However, take note that using SlimTimer as a basis for actual time spent on work isn’t a great idea since the information saved by the timer can be easily edited. It would be great if it displays the information that a certain timed activity was edited. Nevertheless, if you are in need of an easy to use and free alternative to manual timesheets, SlimTimer is one of the better options.
SlimTimer is compatible with FireFox 1.5+, IE 6+ and Safari web browsers.
