Cosmo’s 10 Reasons To Watch Football

Cosmopolitan Magazine had previously chosen Tony Romo as a Fun Fearless Male. Now they have decided to make a list of reasons why the women who read the magazine should watch football. I got a little excited since I occasionally read Cosmo and watch football. I wanted to see how their reasons compared to mine. Here are their reasons:

  1. Tony Romo
  2. Reggie Bush
  3. Adam Vinatieri
  4. Jason Taylor
  5. Tom Brady
  6. Aaron Rodgers
  7. Eli Manning
  8. Ronde Barber
  9. Terrell Owens
  10. Matt Leinart

Yep. Cosmo decided to go with the hottie factor on this one. No mention of the emotion you feel when cheering for your favorite team. The crowd noise when the away team is on a 3rd down. The touchdown celebrations that earn penalties. Loving/making fun of the announcers. The pressure you feel when your team is down a touchdown under 2 minutes to go. The happiness that overcomes you when they tie it up. The sadness when your team loses but hope comes when you realize there is always next week or year.

Maybe are reasons are a little different.

The way blowing the Super Bowl after a perfect regular season ensures two sleepless nights and isolation from all sports media for a month. The way you like the head coach so much you wear his trademark gray hoodie. The way you still can’t talk about the loss to Miami in Week 3 of the 2008 season and pretty much wrote off the season as a result. Yeah, much better than listing hotties! (And WTF? Cosmo ranked Brady at a lowly 5??)
