COST EFFICIENT FILLING UP FOR GAS 3: Top up as often as you can

Average gasoline prices in the US ($ 4.079 as of 23 June) dipped a bit from the previous week (about $0.003), but still more than a dollar increase from a year ago. The expectation is gasoline prices will continue to rise.

Fuel SaverFuel evaporates at a very fast rate. Thus, storage tanks have an internal floating roof which provides zero air space inside the tank. In your car’s gas tank, the more air space in the tank, the more gas will evaporate. By topping up as often as you can, you are minimizing the evaporation of gas in your car’s gas tank. A high temperature also accelerates the evaporation; so, as much as possible park your car under a shade.
