Could You Really Die for a Beer?

A man in El Paso died after he was shot by police when fleeing a convenience store with a stolen case of beer. I can imagine that in the hour before he decided to steal it, he was eating a lot of salty peanuts and then he turned to his buddy and said ‘Man, I could just die for a beer.’
Or, the cop was sitting with his cop buddies eating donuts talking about how bored they were and he said to his buddy ‘Man, I’d kill for a beer right now.’
It’s been a while, but can’t you get a case of beer for like a $1 each? Panhandle for about 5 minutes and you could probably get enough to buy one of those tall cans. Or, if neither of those are an option, check out an AA meeting. I love beer as much as the next guy, but I wouldn’t die for it.
