Cowboys Make Mistake, Release Owens

A couple months back, we wrote about how it’d be a bad idea to release Terrell Owens. However, the Cowboys didn’t listen to our advice and went ahead and released him.
Along with the release, the Cowboys might as well have released their claim as one of the best teams in the league. Owens, for all his troubles, is arguably the most talented receiver in the game. He’s big, he’s fast and he makes plays.
Now Tony Romo will face even more pressure. And considering that Romo is allergic to pressure, this is not good news for the Cowboys. Yeah, Roy Williams will be a decent replacement for Owens … but he’s no T.O.
The Cowboys will talk about how this move helps team chemistry. And although it probably will help the team get closer together, chemistry doesn’t win Super Bowls. You need playmakers to win big games and Owens was the Cowboys’ best playmaker.
Have fun out of the playoffs yet again, Dallas.

Owen’w will be missed. What a mistake.
