Cubs Fans the Most Obnoxious in Baseball? Hardly.

Maybe, just Marty Brennaman doesn’t want Hank Steinbrenner to feel like the only guy in MLB who speaks before he thinks. Why else would Brennaman, announcer for the since-when-are-they-so-great Cincinnati Reds, go on the radio in Chicago and call Cubs fans “brain-dead”?

That isn’t even the worst of it, or the part that gets our red paisley Victoria’s Secret thong in a bunch (oxymoronic as that sounds). It’s the fact that Brennaman called Cubs fans “the most obnoxious fans” in baseball.

Excuse me?

What about Boston Red Sox fans? What about fans of the New York Yankees? Better yet . . . what about those two kinds of fans together and in the midst of yet another fistfight?

Please, Marty. Don’t insult the AL East like that. We take pride in our obnoxiousness.
