Folk-lore. Does the story get any better. I feel as though I am on a cliff hanger at the end of season and as Theresa St. Clair so elegantly put it, “wait until the end of July to see if we have money.” Right…All I can do is laugh, laugh and laugh some more. (thus this keeps me from the tears of frustration) I think Cuppy’s and crew missed their original calling on the big screen in “horror”-able sequals. Where is Jason and Freddy when you really need someone to swing the axe!

Insurance companies... interesting angle.

I agree that they are probably legally separate entities, since these guys would seem to have this process down, with so much practice.

Wouldn't this be a rather serious (at least for Angola IN) political scandal if the mayor and economic council helped a Florida company masquerading as an IN domiciled company get Indiana state funding – and then not be able to fulfill its obligations? Not to mention the possibility of said company accepting franchise fees without being registered in IN?

Probably no one cares.

The scary thing for those owed money: could the inevitable bankruptcy of Elite leave all of those with settlement and without settlement agreements from Elite SOL?

Can one entity using one EIN number legally sue another entity using a second EIN number and both be owned by the same people?

If you pull the fictitious name registration and ownership registration of these two companies what do you find? However, if you are a bit smart about it you would not use the same names in the company registration process….but you would use someone that is ‘in it’ along with you….hhhhmmmmmmm

Let’s assume that it is legal since in the eye of the law they are ‘unique’ entities. How would the insurance companies (because I am certain they would have to carry some sort of business insurance against legal action against them) feel about the case at hand?

Criston:
Did you ever see the movie "Get Shorty" with John Travolta? Great comedy about a two-bit hood shopping his movie script bout his criminal activities?
Maybe we can recoup your money by selling "Cuppy's Coffee: Kiosks That Kill"
Too bad "The Neverending Story" title is taken - that would be appropos.
