Customizing Dual-Display Properties

How many of you out there use dual-displays? When you’re using your dual-display, do you have your secondary monitor on the left or right of your primary?

The default is obviously on the right of your primary monitor, but this doesn’t work as well for me. See, at my office, my desk makes better use of the space available to me if I place my secondary 19″ Samsung Monitor on the left of my laptop.

Since I’ve been working with two monitors, I’ve now gotten used to having it on the left and even when I’m at home I now place my 2nd monitor on the left.

Everything is great. I love working with two monitors. I feel like I’m back to using a regular calculator or something if I don’t have both monitors going.

THE PROBLEM IS MY DISPLAY PROPERTIES WON’T REMEMBER TO PUT MY SECOND MONITOR ON THE LEFT!!!!

I’ve got two different display schemes configured for my laptop. One for when I’m at home with my old 17″ CRT monitor, and one for when I’m at the office with the 19″ LCD model. It remembers the settings for everything great aside from what side to put the second display on.

Does anyone have an idea how I could change the default? Is there a registry hack I could set to force the default to always be on the left?
