CW Cancels TV Show About Online Video. Good!

From design-by-committee to copyright debacles, TV shows about online video generally suck. There’s just no way to encapsulate the interactive experience of unlimited choice on your own time in a one-way broadcast of editorial lineups in a fixed timeslot. That’s why I’m actually happy to hear that The CW canceled their show Online Nation, even if it featured online video clips.
Most industries desperately want TV coverage. That’s not true of online video, which kicks TV’s ass. The YouTube Nation don’t need no stinking TV shows.
