D-Link Makes Lots of Money

Things are rebounding in the computer industry as I have previously reported in revenue surges from Intel, Asus, Dell, HP, etc. Not only are computer manufacturers getting good revenue scores but even Taiwan based network solutions, D-Link has seen their revenues climbed up to $ 80.43 millions dollars in August. The first eight months in 2009 has seen a 16% decrease from their 2008 revenue numbers.
The August 2009 revenues is 7.8 % higher compared to the August 2008 numbers. D-Link is expecting that their numbers would continue to climb for the rest of the 2009 year. According to the D-Link CEO Tony Tsao there are so many space for growth for D-Link especially for emerging markets. He also notes that Brazil and China are climbing out of the slowdown which would also contribute to the expected growth this year.
I am not sure what products are climbing fast for D-Link but their products are definitely cheaper than Linksys which I am a big fan of. Although as I was shopping for a 3G router last weekend, all the stores I have visited had D-Link available while Linksys was on an order basis only. In this economic crisis, even retailers are pushing for cheaper products like D-Link.
Are you getting a D-Link or a Linksys product? Which do you prefer?
