Mooohhmm! The Embarassing Things Parents Do To Their Kids

My daughter who will be going to the sixth grade in the fall is constantly embarrassed by me in front of her friends. I can’t imagine why because they ALL like me, think I’m cool and always want to be around me. Maybe it’s my constant impersonation and channeling of Beyoncé that annoys and embarrasses her. Go figure. I know I can shake my bottom just like Beyoncé. So there.

Anyway, kids getting embarrassed by their parents is really nothing new, as I did too when I was a youngster. But imagine having this happen to you, especially while you’re working. I don’t think there’s anything you can do or explain away this type of embarrassing situation.

I wonder what my daughter would say if she knew that today I’m planning to go have lunch with her dad at his office wearing my Freakum dress. Hmm… I wonder what she would do if I showed up at her school to have lunch with her and wore my one-size-too-small mini skirt and plunge blouse. Think she’d be embarrassed? Maybe.

Or maybe I’ll just order a pizza and go somewhere and sit down.

If my life depended on it, I don’t think I could shake it like Beyonce. And I’m pretty sure that if I tried, my dogs would just about die laughing. Not to mention my husband. But maybe you could TEACH me… ;)
