Darren McFadden – speed forgives all

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

There are questions about Darren McFadden.

The question about his speed has been answered.

Darren ran a 4.33 40 at the NFL combine.

That is blazing!

He did not wear spikes and he did not appear to be stressed. McFadden looked like he could run 4.33’s all day.

Turns out, Darren had an injury in High School that prevented him from doing squats in college. At age 20, he will only get stronger, more powerful, and maybe faster!

The speed answer makes some of the other questions less important. That is the way it works.

That’s what a 4.33-second time in the 40-yard dash will do at the NFL scouting combine. It doesn’t just turn heads, it turns opinions. In short, the notion that McFadden’s two arrests for fighting and some other more minor issues will get in the way of him being one of the top picks may have disappeared as fast as he ran. source

Not to be cynical, but hey, sounds typical for pro sports, doesn’t it?

Your gallivanting author has discussed McFadden’s troubles before.

Darren McFadden could be a problem

Now the jockeying will begin to get that top draft pick and go after Darren McFadden.

For McFadden, speed has forgiven all transgressions.
