Day Two Olympic Football Results

The men’s football (soccer) competition kicked off today with the preliminary matches. Like the women’s, in the men’s competition each team plays three games in the preliminary round, with the winner of each of the three groups, the runner-ups, and the best two third place finishers advancing to the quarterfinal (elimination) round. Below are the highlights from the Ivory Coast/Argentina match, followed by the day’s complete results:
