Dell Adds Blu to Inspiron 1525

“The high-definition format wars are over – and you won.” Consumers are the champions. How awesome is that? Dell announced on March 28th that their Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop is now available with a Blu-Ray reader for under $1000. Generally, it’s the same as the 1525 pre-Blu-Ray drive option, but it also includes an HDMI port for outputting the signal out to a HDTV for larger movie watching.

Perhaps reading Blu-Ray discs is nice, but you want to burn discs as well? Well for an extra $200 you can upgrade to a Blu-Ray burner for the ultimate in optical data backups. The 1525 is also available in yellow, blue, red, as well as “Chill, Blossom, and Commotion.” Interested? Head to Dell.com and price your own.
