Dell is putting pressure on the June 30 Deadline of Windows XP Support

June 14, 2008 by Milo Riano

Dell is putting pressure on Microsoft anew by publicly announcing they are selling Windows XP until 2009 even if Microsoft is only supporting the old operating system until June 30.

According to Dell they will make Windows XP OEM available for customers buying PCs. Back in April 2007, Dell extended Windows XP’s shelf life.

This should give customers the option to upgrade to Windows Vista or stay in Windows XP; though keep in mind, Microsoft has warned that it is risky not to upgrade to Windows Vista and wait for Windows 7.
