Denver has the best defense in the NFL when you look at average points allowed per game at 7.4. Chicago, San Diego, and Baltimore come next in the list.
The Denver Broncos have allowed no TDs rushing and only 1 TD receiving. New England’s Doug Gabriel caught that pass. St. Louis had 18 points against Denver in the opening game of the season, but it was all on field goals.

Denver also leads the league in best hair. :)
Denver still has high scoring Indianapolis, San Diego (twice), and San Francisco on their schedule. They also face some low scoring teams like Oakland, KC, and Cleveland.
It was a surprise to me that Denver was holding teams to the lowest points. You would have thought it would be Chicago. (Squibster full disclosure – Denver just happens to be the Defense on my Fantasy Football team)
NFL Football Fan Question Will Denver end up holding teams to less points than Chicago on the season? Will Brian Urlacher (Bears) let his hair grow out?
