Despatie To Prove Olympic Fitness to Judges

Canadian diving star, Alexandre Despatie, will have to prove his fitness to a panel of judges on July 10, 2008 in order to clinch a spot on the Olympic team. He was unable to compete during the trials last week in Victoria after breaking a bone in his foot this past April.
He’s already received a conditional pass from Dive Canada but he will still have to prove that he is fit to compete.
I’ve enjoyed watching him rise from relative obscurity to become a world champion and Olympic silver medalist so I’m hoping he is ready to represent Canada in Beijing.
