Dude you missed my favorite sources of free links, and free traffic.

Digg + Reddit + Netscape + Great Content = free links, free search engine traffic, and lots of traffic

Hi Craig,

I like your ideas.

So your site goes down and you have the newsletter to stay in contact in the meantime. Great thinking!

Add a newsletter to the list.

I think giving people the chance to follow your site via a weekly newsletter is so often overlooked.

Yes RSS is great, and personally it has made my life easier, but the majority of people still have no idea what it is.

Instead if you use your newsletter, offering a simple gift for a subscriber's email address, to cover what's happened on your site over the past week or so then you will see a real spike.

And a newsletter is so much easier for people to pass on to others.
