Season 2 of Showtime’s critically acclaimed show, Dexter, becomes available on Blu-ray tomorrow (or pick it up on DVD). This is definitely worth owning because the show is really excellent and the second season might be the best of the three so
far.
The normally confident serial killer/blood spatter analyst finds himself questioning his “code” and ends up having to make some very serious decisions. There’s a lot more going on than I could have ever expected. If you watch the show, you’ll know that season one ended in a gruesome and shocking way, leaving Dexter Morgan very confused. When he meets up with a British woman named Lila, things get even more insane. He seems to struggle with his identity and his relationship with his girlfriend, Rita, deteriorates. Then, a random scuba diver comes across Dexter’s underwater graveyard consisting of dozens of trash bags containing dismembered bodies.
With his very ambitious sister, Debra, working hard to earn her detective’s badge, Dexter knows it will just be a matter of time before the case is cracked and the world learns that he is the “Bay Harbor Butcher.”
