Digg These Small-Cap Stocks

August 29, 2006 by Mark Evans

Agoracom is about to launch a new Digg-like service aimed at investors interested in small-cap stocks. It is based on the idea there is too much information coming from the stock-cap community each day, which receive little media attention. To filter the best press releases, Toronto-based Agoracom will launch Top10PressReleases.com in a couple of weeks. “Our goal is to provide incredible value to both small-cap investors looking for a hidden gem and real small-cap public companies that would not otherwise be able to distinguish themselves from the noise,” said George Tsiolis, Agoracom’s president. Tsiolis said the idea goes back to 2001 but it sat on a shelf because the technology didn’t exist to make it happen. The new Web site is being developed by Toronto-based Radiant Core, which is involved in developing the next version of Firefox.
